Do you enjoy waving your hands euphorically in the air (like you just don’t care)? Ectronic bleeps and thumping techno crossed with house? Light shows that almost send you into an epileptic seizure filled with rapturous emotion?
Then chances are you’re probably already all over this next one. Currently one of the biggest DJs in all of the world, Toronto’s Deadmau5, plays Victoria Park on Saturday 11th June in his first ever outdoor UK gig as part of the LED festival, with a strong support line-up from Calvin Harris, Mark Ronson, Nero, Skrillex, Modestep and Radio 1’s Zane Lowe amongst others.
It’s set to be quite a mainstream affair, which also means big excitable crowds (i.e. more hotties per square mile), fantastic venues and incredible stage sets; just check out what Mr Mau5 and his diamond encrusted mouse-head have been getting up to recently on YouTube. This man doesn’t do things by halves – oh no.
So stick your light-up mouse ears on yer head and get down to the best outdoor music venue in East London. Glow sticks at the ready! (Words: Aoife Moriarty)
