Spend the summer holidays at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort and Spa

Confession time: it’s been far too long since I’ve had a decent holiday. If you live in London (and the freelancer life), you know what it’s like; the constant juggle of work means you might snatch a bit of time off here or there, but before you know it, the year’s gone by and with that, the dream of lying on a beach for two weeks somewhere, anywhere (!) without a care in the world. But I’ve promised myself a prescription of much deserved R&R in 2014 so with the summer holidays soon upon us, I’ve got to thinking about where to go for plenty of great times (and the opportunity for lots of smiley-happy selfies!).
Destination-wise, we’ve been hearing good things about Ibiza. It’s home to the 5-star Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa which has developed a rep for being quite a classy retreat for those looking for the best of both worlds. It’s far enough away from the club scene if you want to just chill out, but the raves are still an option if you fancy getting your party on.

The hotel’s also been highly rated for being within the beautiful landscape of the Playa d’en Bossa – one of the longest, white sandy beaches on the island – and offers immaculate service, modern facilities (renovated gym, tennis courts, decadent spa), top-notch interiors and lovely sights to make it a worthwhile stay. Where activities and culture are concerned, let’s naturally start with the food. Word is there’s a number of restaurants on the resort and you can take your pick from an eclectic range of cuisine, including classic Mediterranean and Tex-Mex. As for activities, you can have a go at archery, yoga or scuba diving – and on a nightly basis, there’s the chance to check out quality shows and entertainment. So if I didn’t know any better, it sounds like the Grand Palladium and a trip to Ibiza could be just what the doctor ordered…
