The word ‘multicultural’ is never too distant when describing London, especially considering the tendency to hear a foreign conversation a few steps away from your front door – but it seems opportunities to explore the creativity of other cultures can be few and far between.
Step in ‘Art to EastAfrica’ – an event that intends to offer a fresh insight into the music and art of the African region. Held at the Queen of Hoxton, the evening will present eclectic outputs from visual artists Beddow ‘n’ Battini collective – featured on ITV Fixers – as well as pulsating sounds from The Illersapiens, Ozi Ozaa and more. All the proceeds will go towards art resources and workshops for children in African communities, so we rest assured we’re encouraging the spread of creativity (whilst enjoying it) and clocking up our karma points! Art to EastAfrica takes place on Sunday 19th June from 2pm – 11pm. Click here for more information.
