I am…a blogger, freelance fashion and media consultant. I also give ‘special lectures’ at the University of the Arts. I’ve lived in the capital for 6 years and if I’m away for too long I miss the noise, crazy people and the different vibes you get from each area.
The area in London I call home is… Islington, North London, however I’m going to have to get used to East as I’ve just moved.
I’ve got to have a meal at… Nid Ting on Holloway Road – it’s probably London’s best kept secret when it comes to Thai food.
I tend to get my threads from…My sister’s wardrobe, she just moved in and I’m loving the options.
To enjoy London’s nightlife, you should… Find a nice rooftop terrace like Madison Café at One New Change in St Pauls and enjoy London with a view. The City has so much more to offer from a few floors up.
If I was mayor, I would…Have a law against tourists standing in the middle of the pavement staring into a map. It’s 2011, Google map it already!
My favourite spot to check out art is…Somerset House and the V&A. I love how frequent new exhibitions come in.
I’d kindly tell a tourist to…buy an Oyster Card because cash prices are extortionate.
The things I miss when I leave London are... the pace and never sleeping. Oh and bus drivers letting me off when I have no change and my Oyster Card bleeps twice.
My soundtrack to London would be…
Burial’s Archangel, because Burial is an artist that truly captures London; Adele’s Hometown Glory, because she’s London born and bred and Wildfire by SBTRK – Just because its one of the best tracks out now :)
