I love the bar at Players Theater (‘Players Bar and Kitchen’). It is a cozy little bar with live music and unpretentious service, nice food for a perfect evening. I’ve been to plenty of work gatherings and birthday parties there.

Thanks EllesBells for the tip on Momo, will definitely by checking it out. Being a bit of a gig/culture fiend there are a lot of venues that I love, but one that blew me away even though it is not a traditional venue for music was the V&A Cafe (and rooms), I happened to catch a beautiful jazz event there and it was just magical; beautiful painting, stunning chandeliers, fireplace. An opulent setting.

Another favourite venue of mine is The Bloomsbury Ballroom – beautiful art deco environment, just incredibly stylish, clean and it makes music sound uber beautiful.

Following from my previous point, I love The Barbican – is offers such an eclectic programme line up and as a venue it allows you physically immerse yourself in its unique architecture.

I really like ronnie scott’s, they have such an amazing line up pretty much every night. also like Momo just of Regents street, you wouldn’t think this restaurant did music but gosh DOES it ever. recently they had Zara McFarlane and next week they have Rashaad Ahmed

I’m a big fan of the Jazz Cafe in Camden. The venue has sufficient space and has a real intimate feel about it. Definitely recommend it for the couples out there. The majority of acts I’ve watched have made use of a live band and worked the stage well. There’s a restaurant upstairs as well as a chill out area near the bar. Some of my best gigs have been at the North London venue including Common, Bilal and Floetry.

I recently discovered Union Chapel in Islington – what a delightful venue. The accoustics sounded amazing, the atmosphere was vibrant and the venue was unique. And the cherry on top was the venue served hot drinks! Definitely a bonus on a cold autumn night. here’s the link: http://www.unionchapel.org.uk
