When it comes to shows, people love to know how the magic’s made – and hip-hop stable Blue Boy Entertainment are about to let audiences get a peak behind the razzmatazz of hip hop dance with a unique gig at The Theatre Royal Stratford East and The Pit at The Barbican. Artistic directors Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante and Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy – who’ve both guided wannabes through “So You Think You Can Dance” – will show how they put together award-winning productions such as the Pied Piper – it got an Olivier! – and will joined by special guests each night. Afterwards, you’ll get to talk to the dance and performance mentors and see for yourself if they’re as cool in person as they are on dancefloor – quite likely. (Words: Caiti Grove)

BBE: Touch will be showing at Theatre Royal Stratford East on Saturday 23 July and at the Barbican, Thursday 28 – Saturday 30 July.
